In the search for the ultimate chainguard, I came across the Chainglider from Hebie of Germany. The Chainglider can be considered a full chaincase as it completely encapsulates your chain protecting pant legs or objects from ever coming in contact and also protecting the chain from dirt and moisture. The unique mounting system requires no special frame or mounting hardware; the Chainglider uses the chain itself as a support structure and "glides" on top of it. Despite the "glide factor" the system is near silent and in my personal tests was drowned out by tire noise.

Compatibility:

• Singlespeed or hub gear (ie Shimano Nexus, Alfine)
• 38 tooth front chainwheel
• Rear cog between 18 to 22 tooth
• Maximum chain width of 9mm (1/2x1/8)
• Maximum chainwheel width of 3mm
